Fundraising at White RoseWelcome to White Rose. We are delighted that you are interested in supporting us with your fundraising.
We are on a mission to redefine high street fashion, with a positive impact on the planet and humanity. We generate funds for the Aegis Trust, through retailing pre-loved fashion in our shops. 100% of the profit generated by White Rose supports this vital work.
Every penny you raise for White Rose, will make a huge difference to:
Our planet. We champion sustainability and reduce the impact of fast fashion on the environment. We keep handpicked preloved fashion circular, redirecting clothing from landfill.
Peace building. We champion humanity and support the Aegis Trust to deliver peace education in some of the most divided communities on earth.
The Aegis Trust is a UK registered international NGO, working towards the prediction, prevention, recovery from and ultimate elimination of identity-based violence and mass atrocities around the world. It takes an upstream prevention approach, using education, research and advocacy to promote strategies aimed at changing human behaviour.
Aegis helped to establish and manages the Kigali Genocide Memorial and has programmes in Rwanda, Central African Republic, and South Sudan, addressing key drivers of conflict and insecurity through:
- Promoting peace and values education in formal and community-based settings.
- Supporting trauma healing.
- Building sustainable livelihoods as alternatives to violence.
As a teenager, Albert Rutikanga survived the Genocide against the Tutsi in 1994, in Rwanda. Sixty members of his family were killed, including both his parents. Albert never imagined forgiveness was possible but became a teacher - and trained at the Kigali Genocide Memorial. This inspired him to unite perpetrators and survivors in a local initiative helping people in need. Today, even neighbours in the group that killed Albert's family are involved.
